GEMS (Geriatric Education for EMS) provides critical training for EMTs, Paramedics, and Healthcare Providers on the unique medical, environmental, and social needs of older adults.
This course covers age-related body changes, complex medication issues, psychosocial challenges, elder abuse, and specialized care like palliative and disaster response, all aimed at improving geriatric patient outcomes and quality of life through holistic assessment.
Upon completion of this course, you will receive certification valid for 4-yaers through the NAEMT and 8-hours of CAPCE credit.
